Ashok
is the Senior Technical Advisor with the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. in
Washington, D.C., performing technical, environmental, and financial
evaluations of loan applications involving large and complex projects. His
background includes project finance transactions on large projects in
several countries, including Brazil, China, the Middle East, and India. He
has over 30 years experience in the power, petrochemical, and environmental
sectors, including work with IWT, Fluor, Bechtel, and operating plants in
the U.S. and Middle East. At Fluor, he was the supervisor of the water and
wastewater treatment group, and was seconded to Aramco as the construction
superintendent at the Ras Tanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia. At Bechtel, he
worked on several projects, including the design of two grassroots
refineries, and was Bechtel’s sole site representative at the Jim Bridger
Power Plant in Wyoming. As supervisor of the chemistry and process group, he
worked in an operating power plant with public service electric and gas
companies. Ashok is a licensed professional engineer with an MS degree in
Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, and an MBA. He completed
an eight-month executive program in international finance and global markets
from Georgetown University, and is author of 25 technical publications.
